Welcome to my web portfolio which contains original, contemporary, paintings and drawings of England, Britain and Europe.;  

My work focusses on what it is that makes a sense of place. I attempt  to paint this  by developing an understanding of its mood, its geography or simply through an impression I have which is sometimes lasting.  The artist  or painter may paint a sky and and  lonely moor but for it be  worthwhile it cannot be just any moor  or any sky  for  the skies above Rossendale are diffent from those of the Hebrides, of Cornwall, the Spanish Seirra to paint the sky of my  ambition I  must covene to meet with nature.

I  work in oils, acrylics or mixed media on canvas and on paper

I've arranged the portfolio so that my paintings are grouped in their  geographic  areas.
